BREAKING: Coastal Carolina Defeats TCU to Advance to the College World Series Finals

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are on the way to the College World Series Finals after beating TCU 7-5. They defeated the Horned Frogs in consecutive games to advance.

Coastal Carolina started off the game hot jumping out to a 7-1 lead in the first four innings. The Chanticleers were led by Anthony Marks and Tyler Chadwick who had three hits a piece. 

Alex Cunningham started on the mound for Coastal and threw 6 1/3 innings giving up four runs. The Chanticleers had to hold off a late TCU rally when the Horned Frogs scored three runs total in the sixth and seventh innings to pull the score to 7-4.

Bobby Holmes helped shut down TCU late in the game towards an eventual Coastal Carolina Victory. This the first time Coastal Carolina has ever made it to the College World Series Final.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers move on to face Arizona in the College World Series Finals. The series starts June 27th at 7:00 on ESPN.
